Mongolia Travel Requirements and Restrictions

Determine your eligibility for travel

To determine your eligibility for travel, please refer to the following conditions and requirements for Mongolia:

-No negative PCR or rapid test results are required to enter Mongolia before departure.

– No testing is required upon arrival at the border points.

– No quarantine or self-isolation.

* These provisions apply to all ages, both vaccinated and non-vaccinated, and effective as of March 14, 2022.

Quarantine is not required.

The Mongolian government allows foreign nationals to travel to Mongolia on incoming flights if they meet certain criteria (a valid long-stay visa, permanent residency or short term business visas).

All passengers must present a negative COVID-19 PCR test which is taken within 72 hours before arrival.

From 25th December 2021, people arriving in Mongolia will need to quarantine for at least 3 days in a managed hotel at their own cost. They will also need to take a coronavirus (COVID-19) test after day 2 of their quarantine. Release from quarantine will be subject to a negative test result.

Persons arriving in Mongolia 14 days after receiving the full dose of the coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccines upon presenting proof of vaccination or those who were diagnosed earlier with a coronavirus infection (COVID-19) and fully recovered upon presenting antibody test results or other medical documents shall be exempted from quarantine.

Children under 18 years old traveling shall be exempted from quarantine if their guardians are the same as described above.ve.
