Determine your eligibility for travel

To determine your eligibility for travel, please refer to the following conditions and requirements for Lesotho:

Fully vaccinated travelers must have a valid vaccination card or certificate. The last dose must have been taken at least 14 days before travel.

Partially vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers must show a negative PCR test result that was obtained no more than 72 hours before arrival at the border.

Children 5 years and below are exempted from requiring vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test.

Self-isolation for 14 days is required for some travelers.

Domestic travel

Lesotho is currently under “Blue Level” COVID-19 restrictions.

Supermarkets, grocery shops, off licenses, hardware stores, fuel stations, cafes and clothing stores are permitted to operate normally but must observe COVID-19 protocols on sanitisation and social distancing. Hair salons may operate an appointment-only service.

Church services are permitted but must not last more than three hours, and one hour must be allowed for disinfection between services. All people must wear masks all times, including when singing. Weddings are permitted with a maximum of 500 guests outside or 50 guests inside. Funerals are restricted to a maximum of 200 people outside and must be completed by 10 a.m. Only immediate family members may view the deceased at the mortuary. Night prayer is permitted with proof of a COVID-19 vaccination certificate.
