1. BOH Tea Plantation
BOH Tea Plantation is a stunning natural attraction and one of the reasons tourists travel to Cameron Highlands! With more than 8,000 acres, the farm is the largest tea plantation in Southeast Asia. It’s also the oldest. The tea farm is made of three gardens – Fairlie Tea Plantation and BOH Tea Estate (Pahang) near Ringlet and BOH Tea Centre in Brinchang. The areas are about one hour apart, and because nature abounds in Cameron Highlands, tourists will find plenty of things to do in between. The region is home to multiple strawberry farms, rose and lavender gardens, a bee farm, tea houses, a local market and a museum.

2. Time Tunnel
Exploring Time Tunnel museum is a fun way to get to know Cameron Highlands and discover how the region was established and later developed. Scenes of days gone by are played out through nostalgic products, advertisements and posters that all are part of the private collection of See Kok Shan, a Cameron Highlands native. The collection showcases a timeline from 1885, when the region was discovered by William Cameron, to the 1920s when the hill was transformed into a resort area. It even touches on the mysterious disappearance of American businessman and Thai silk entrepreneur Jim Thompson.

3. Cameron Highland Butterfly Garden
A family excursion to Cameron Highland Butterfly Garden at Kea Farm in Brinchang is sure to bring a smile on everyone’s faces during a trip to Cameron Highlands. The garden is small but flooded with colorful butterflies fluttering about in a gorgeous garden. Besides butterflies, visitors also will see displays of reptiles, rabbits, sheep, snakes and kangaroos.

4. Orang Asli Villages
One sightseeing adventure that visitors will not want to miss while in Cameron Highlands is a tour of the Orang Asli, or “native people,” villages in the region. Through the help of an expert tour guide, guests can get up close and personal with village residents, who are happy to share their traditional homes and native foods as well as demonstrate hunting gear like the blowpipe and musical instruments like the nose flute.

5. Mossy Forest
Most travelers visit Cameron Highlands for its outstanding jungles and forests, and a hike through Mossy Forest is guaranteed to satisfy. This lush region has the highest elevation in Cameron Highlands, and visitors will feel like they are in heaven while wading through clouds, cool breezes and moss-covered landscapes. Because of its consistent climate, the forest is sometimes called “Cloud Rainforest.” Mossy Forest is home to Mount Batu Brinchang as well as dozens of wildlife species, natural flora and fauna and even a few native spices. Visitors can view the area via walking trails, a scenic roadway and an observation tower.
